From a First Toolbox to RoMonica Home Services.
RoMonica Home Services began with a simple decision in December 2018: buy the tools, start taking jobs, and build a service business one customer at a time.

One Decision. One Job at a Time.
In December 2018, Romane and Monica Blake began what would eventually become RoMonica Home Services. There was no large shop, fleet of service vehicles, or warehouse full of equipment. The beginning was much simpler: a trip to Harbor Freight, a first set of tools, a Thumbtack profile, and the determination to start working.
Starting in Texas
The first jobs came through Thumbtack in Texas. Early work centered around handyman projects and practical home-service needs—the kind of jobs where showing up prepared, figuring out the problem, and doing careful work mattered more than having a big company name.
Those first customers helped establish the habits that still guide the company today: communicate clearly, respect the customer’s home, do the work carefully, and let the quality of the job build the next opportunity.
Moving to Arkansas
After roughly six months of working in Texas, the family moved to Arkansas. RoMonica Home Services continued operating there, serving local homeowners and gradually building a customer base through hands-on work, referrals, repeat customers, and online service platforms.
Arkansas became home for the business, and the company continued to grow from the same small-business foundation it started with.
Handyman Work Opened the Door. Appliance Repair Became a Specialty.
As more jobs came in, the work expanded beyond general handyman projects. Appliance repair became an increasingly important part of the business, including refrigerators, dryers, washers, dishwashers, ranges, ovens, and other household equipment.
With experience came more advanced diagnostic work, appliance installation, refrigeration service, preventive maintenance, and qualifying sealed-system work. The company later added electric water heater installation and qualifying small-appliance HVAC/R and refrigeration service.
That growth was not a change in the original mission—it was an extension of it. The goal remained the same: learn more, improve the service, and give customers a dependable person to call when something in the home needs attention.
Still Growing. Still Built on Personal Service.
Today, RoMonica Home Services serves customers throughout Central & Western Arkansas with a broader range of home-service capabilities, while still operating with the accountability and personal attention of a locally operated business.
